Compared to last year at this time, Snakes are more plentiful and everywhere. Thankfully we were able to get the camera going before he did the lickity split. When I was a kid I used a stick, but now that I’ve been reintroduced into country life, I ordered a pair of snake tongs. Then I’ll be able to provide my viewers with some quality closeups.

This hearty snake is a Venomous Cottonmouth – Water Moccasin (Agkistrodon piscivorus).
