Alistair Begg admits that up until recently his church was unbiblical regarding evangelism

I do appreciate Alistair Begg’s expositional teaching. But in this video he admits that his church has not been Biblical regarding evangelism.

They would go to public events to hand out bottled water, and tell them what church they were from. But under his recent conviction, he now says “who cares, who even cares” what church you’re from – AMEN on that.

A local church that does not consistently and activity ‘preach or share the Gospel’ out into the public realm, is an unhealthy church, and an unbiblical church.

Furthermore when you put bottled water, or your corporate church before the Gospel, you are committing idolatry. It took a lot of courage and humility for Begg to admit this, and I wish more would repent and follow suit. Soli Deo Gloria!

“No sort of defense is needed for preaching out of doors; but it would need very potent arguments to prove that a man had done his duty who has never preached beyond the walls of his meeting house. A defense is required rather for services within buildings than for worship outside of them. Apologies are certainly wanted for architects who pile up brick and stone into the skies when there is so much need for preaching rooms among poor sinners down below.” ~ Charles H. Spurgeon
