A video teaching of Psalm chapter 1:1-3, by Bill Rhetts (whom Christians are ‘not’ to “walk” with, obeying God’s Law, and Biblical Christianity in a postmodern era & how to prosper)
As I prepared for this expository study (other than one scholar), I studied under the teachings of scholars from the 1400’s up to the 1800’s. Therefore, this teaching will not be ‘watered down’ with contemporary fruffles.
We will learn of the dangers of ‘walking’ with non-saved ‘friends.’ We will also learn how to ‘Biblically’ love the lost, and to increase our respect for, and obedience to ‘God’s Law,’ and how to ‘prosper.’
I will share some personal experiences (or observations), and Lord willing, we will learn how to ‘apply and demonstrate’ these commandments to our daily lives. I pray the Lord will use this to convict, and exhort His bride, how to walk Biblically, by knowing whom ‘not’ to walk with; and/or that He will reinforce His church in doing so.
UPDATE: I failed to mention that the word “planted” in verse three is the Hebrew word shâthal, which literally means “transplanted.” I like what J.C. Ryle said about what a truly born-again Christian looks, thinks, and acts like.
“To be born again is to enter into a new existence, to have a new mind, a new heart, new views, new principles, new tastes, new affections, new likes, new dislikes, new fears, new joys, new sorrows, new love to things once hated, new hatred to things once loved, new thoughts of God, ourselves, the world, the life to come and salvation.”
