Hosting Communions
Below are some videos practicing and demonstrating God’s Means of Grace. What does Means of Grace Mean? God’s Means of Grace is when God’s elect practices the two Ordinances (or Sacraments) of the Church. Both are sacramental demonstrations and visible manifestations of the Gospel. And how He communicates to us via His Word, and as we communicate to Him in prayer.
I pray this encourages the universal body elsewhere.

Sadly, communion is taken too lightly in most churches today. In Tennessee, I’ve been to churches where anyone can partake, to where an elder knowingly distributed the elements to an admitted non-Christian.
.
There are many passages I enjoy reading and understanding before receiving communion. But let’s look at just ‘one word’ in one of many verses.
.
1 Corinthians 11:27 says, “Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.”
.
The word “unworthily” or unworthy is the Greek word anaxiōs which means irreverently.
.
Just like there’s nothing common about God’s grace, there is nothing common about the bread or the cup. And though communion is reserved only for the elect, the elect must only partake with reverence, with a repenting fear and awe of our LORD, and perhaps with trembling hands. And if they cannot, then they should let the elements pass. In that sense, I say, “Let’s make pietism great again.”
