Happy Valentines Day? Does God love everyone?
Today’s the day that many professing Christians will tell an anonymous internet that “God loves you,” or “Jesus loves you.” Yes, God is love, but the Theological truth is God’s wondrous love is for His elect. But that He’s angry with the wicked every day (Ps. 7:11), that He hates those who practice sin (Ps. 5). And that He hates the proudful, the liars, those who abort their babies (or murder), that devise wicked plans (or do evil), and/or those that sow discord among brethren (Prov, 6:16-19).
The below verse comes with much exclusivity, as it was written to born-again Christians only.
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this, the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another” (1 John 4:7-11).
The same God that is infinite in love (for His elect), is infinite in wrath and judgment towards the unregenerate. The question is, which attribute of God will you come to know and experience?
Below is the Good News, as to how you perhaps can escape the wrath of God, and know the love of God through repentance and faith alone in Christ alone.
