My favorite preacher and sermon is…
Christian chatter on the internet today sounds too much like the world. They follow celebrity pastors like rock stars or movie actors. Even to the point of defending, or making excuses for their err, rather than earnestly contend for the faith. This Christendom has become elementary and shallow. Perhaps a kindergarten Christianity.
As I’ve said for years now. Next to Christ Himself, my favorite mentors at large are the Apostle Paul and other Orthodox, Reformed, Calvinistic Christian men who have preceded us in death. Old dead men who finished well in orthodoxy and practice.
“Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ” - 1 Corinthians 11:1
Orthodoxy means a correct, right belief, right praise, and right doctrine. Orthopraxy means the right (or correct) practice of our right belief, praise, and doctrine.
I strive for this standard because it helps this sinner from turning postmodernism into my golden calf. Therefore, here are my favorites.
My favorite preacher is Jesus Christ.
My favorite sermon is the Sermon on the Mount by Jesus Christ.
My favorite music is psalms and orthodox hymns that are rich in Theology, deep in Doctrine, Reformed, and Calvinistic.
My favorite book is the Bible (though I study much under many other books that fit the above criteria).
My favorite book on evangelism is the Book of Acts.
My favorite evangelist is Jesus Christ.
My favorite teacher is the Holy Spirit.
My favorite author is the Lord Himself.
My favorite persons are the Three Distinct Persons of the Trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
And so on…
Let’s make America great again. Let’s make the Bible Belt great again, by having a biblical healthy ecclesiology. By having a higher view of God and a lower view of man.
