This is an excellent Podcast produced by Jon Harris of Conversations That Matter. In this show, he interviews Pastor Steve Richardson in Canada. Richardson has displayed courage and conviction throughout this COVID era, as he continued to obey the Lord by holding Church services. Consequently, the police have levied charges against him, he faces six years in prison, and his Presbytery excommunicated him. I prefer to add the language that he was persecuted by his own denomination.

I have no doubt the Lord decreed this virus as a form of His judgment, and He is testing His people for greater things, and He is using it to separate the sheep from the goats. Steve, you have passed the test, you have gone against the cowardly establishment, and I’d consider it a privilege to be in any foxhole with you.

Since the beginning of this story, I have been in personal contact with Richardson (via the internet), and our Church has been corporately praying for him. I would ask the Lord’s people to continue praying for Steve, his family, and that local Church. Jon, thank you for your well done podcasts.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones” (Proverbs 3:5-8).
