Sadly, many Churches in the “Bible Belt” are closed for service tomorrow

This week’s “big storm” or “inclement weather” that the media warned us about in West Tennessee gave us only six inches of snow. It’s the same snow that stopped falling yesterday. The roads have been well-plowed, and the skies are now sunny, blue, and clear. But sadly, many local churches have advertised on Facebook that they chose to be just like the rest of the lost world. They’re closed for service tomorrow. That little bit of snow is too much.

What we need to make America great again is a Christianity that is not of this world but against it. A Christianity that is peculiar to the world. A Christianity that is the salt of the earth and light of the world. That is not afraid to take risks. Where the men are not emasculated, spiritually neutered, or part of the castrated Christendom. Where the men are fishers of men, not Evangellyfish. A Christianity that does not flinch in the face of adversity. That is willing to die for the cause of Christ. As I wrote before.

“As Tertullian said, “The blood of Christians is seed.” Augustine later said, “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church.” Though we are to pray for the persecuted, some are praying for persecution. Our churches need to be less American, and more like Christ. Lord, not my will, but Thine will be done. That kind of Christianity will make the church and America great again.”

Christians are called to practice that Hapax Legomenon – Epagonizomai, which is to earnestly contend for the faith (Jude 3). In the Greek it is a militant contention for the faith and a Biblical ecclesiology.

I can’t believe I’m saying this. But how about a civil compromise? Keep the doors open to their sanctuary tomorrow. And let their members decide if they “stay home” or dare go to church.

In closing, rightfully so, the judgment of Almighty God is inevitable.

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” – Matthew 10:28

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” – Ecclesiastes 12:13

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” – John 14:15
