18-year-old Alexis Avila of Hobbs New Mexico has been arrested and charged for the attempted murder of her newborn baby boy. According to various news sources defendant Avila “wrapped the baby in a blood-soaked towel and two garbage bags, then abandoned him in 36-degree weather.”  But thankfully the baby was later discovered and recovered by three dumpster divers, and all this was captured by the below surveillance camera.

According to the Daily Mail, Avila’s mother Martha Avila acquiesced to this crime irresponsibly telling their reporter, “People can talk and give their opinion. Everybody makes mistakes. People can preach all they want, they can judge all they want but we only care about the judgment of one.”

Martha Avila’s statement reveals her skewed view of God and His Holy Scriptures.

  1. She said, “Everybody makes mistakes.”
  2. She said “People can preach all they want,”
  3. She said “they can judge all they want,”
  4. She said, “but we only care about the judgment of one.”

These were not “mistakes” they were serious sins and felonious crimes against a Holy Just God.

Yes, people can preach all they want. This is why it is important for truly saved Christians to preach the truth, and the whole counsel of God while evangelizing. Not a worldly sensual love that unbiblically tolerates, condones and/or acquiesces to sin. Not a false Arminian gospel that wrongfully tells the lost “God loves you,” or “Jesus loves you.”

She said, “but we only care about the judgment of one.”

The Bible declares and warns that the sins of fornication, lying, and murder are atrocious transgressions against a Holy God Just God, and yes He will “judge” you, as well as others. The Bible also warns that God “hates the hands that shed innocent blood,” and that He “hates those who practice evil.”

To the Avila family. I implore you to read my Gospel tract here or under the below video; the glorious Gospel is the remedy to this sin and lawlessness.
