The Roy’s Report on The Prosperous Lifestyle of America’s Anti-Prosperity Gospel Preacher John MacArthur
I knew it was only a matter of time that someone would publicly expose this. Last year I warned several close to me, but they refused to listen, scoffed, and one even mocked me. Christians must flee from pastoral idolatry.

UPDATE 02/09/21: I’ve watched MacArthur’s followers vilify Christians whom have shared this story on social media. If you invoke the name of your celebrity pastor more than Jesus Christ Himself, then you need to re-read the first two commandments and repent not repeat. This man worship is a real sin problem.
Our apologetics and polemics must never hypocritically neglect our camp. Therefore, we must be humble, willing to accept constructive criticism and Biblical correction. And we must never pridefully defend our own (when they’re wrong) and must be willing to call-out our own sin.

Most “Reformed” FB groups are heavy on memes and quotes from celebrity pastors. But are light on (or absent) content creators. And when you post a blog post or video you created, their administrators don’t let it go through. But if I posted a photo of MacArthur with the quote, “My favorite place is Disneyland,” they’d believe he said that, and they’d share it. The idol worship of these modern-day golden calves has got to stop. Every one of our righteous deeds is as repugnant as filthy rags in the sight of a Holy Just Jealous God. And you should know what that filthy rag means in Hebrew. – Isaiah 64:6 #FleeIdolatry
