Video of three responding to the Gospel while preaching at a Bus Depot – Present were the Passengers – the Paroles – the Police – and the Preacher (Soteriology explained)
Three people from diverse backgrounds responded to the Gospel call at this bus depot. Note that I did not preach easy believism, I actually preached and warned against it. To God be the glory.
After I saturated this place with tracts, the police arrived and began searching people. I decided to place the officers in my crosshairs, as I preached this sermon. This particular bus stop seems to consist of parolees released / bused from prison. The brother in the plaid shirt (whom I gave my business card to), was just released; and is already out evangelizing. The Lord used this to encourage him. As when he stepped off his bus (behind me), the first thing he saw and heard, was the preaching of the glorious Gospel. He encouraged me as well.
My comments regarding “Police Chaplains” will not be received well by most chaplains that are assigned to police departments, but it is the truth in love. Over the many decades, I have never witnessed a police chaplain share, preach, and/or teach the whole counsel of the Word of God. Let alone call a roll call room full of police officers to repentance. Unfortunately many of them become a slave to the State, as they are restricted by their own cities rules. But the Lord expects us to be bond slaves to Christ, not to the state (or city).
A side note: Recently a Christian told me that he was waiting for the Lord to “open a door for me to share the Gospel with someone.” Needless to say I advised him that the Lord already opened that door, it is called the outdoors (aka the open air). Out of curiosity I then began searching thru his home churches web site. On their link for “evangelism,” they suggest reading three postmodern books to learn how to evangelize (yikes). One of those authors is seeker-sensitive Bill Hybels. Brethren we must refrain from relying on postmodern books and DVDs, and we must rely on His Book (the Gospel) and His Holy Spirit.
The following quote consists of two Bible scholars that I appreciate very much. Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones said of George Whitefield, “They must not wait for souls to come to them. They must go after souls, and compel them to come in. He [Whitefield] did not sit tamely by his fireside…. He dived into holes and corners after sinners. He hunted out people, and their sin, that he might present Christ to them.”
As I’ve said before, my ‘mentors of evangelism’ are the prophets of the Old Testament, Christ and His Apostles of the New Testament. As well as other men that have proceeded us in death like George Whitefield, Jonathan Edwards, Charles Spurgeon, John Wesley, et.al.
Paul never said follow postmodern emergents. He said, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ” (1 Cor 11:1). He also said, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek” (Rom 1:16).
“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14).

I just accidentally ‘removed’ two comments waiting for approval. Comment #1. “NO” my ring seen in this video is not a “Masonic” ring. It is a grad school class ring from my university. Question #2. “No” I am not adding to the finished work of the cross. This unknown person stated that I should ‘not’ teach others to “turn from sin.” But the Bible commands this. I did make it very very clear in my sermon, that the actual “turning” from sin, and/or “repenting” from sin, is not what saves us. But that is “an evidence” or “fruit” that we have been saved. It comes because of salvation. I also made it very clear in my video that “repentance’ is a work of the Lord as He “grants us repentance.” I agree there is nothing I can do to earn / merit salvation. As a matter of fact, I expounded on this in greater length, but as you can see and hear, this video has many ‘transitions’ in it. Which tells you that this video is edited (to be shorter). For those of you that desire to teach others to ‘continue in their sins’ without repentance, you are free to do so.
