A Tweet by Matt Walch, his Roman Catholicism vs the saved Catholic Universal Church
By God’s perfect providence, I saw this quote by Matt Walsh shared on social media. Further research showed its origin might be this 2018 Tweet.
.
The problem with this is Walsh belongs to the Roman Catholic Church, not the Catholic Church.
In Reformed Theology, we Protestants teach that God’s true elect belong to the Catholic Church, not Roman Catholic. Catholic means Universal, hence, we also call those who are saved and written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, the Universal Church. That is the same “Catholic Church” that Reformers recite in the Nicene Creed or Apostles Creed.
Matt Walsh is not a born-again Christian, he’s a Roman Catholic. The difference is huge. Rome is a false pagan religion.
Furthermore, the “purge” has already occurred. That’s what today’s October 31st holiday is about, the Reformation.
The Reformation is not a one-time historical event. Solidly reformed churches and believers are ‘always reforming.’ That is what Semper Reformanda means in Latin. I call it the sixth pillar of the Reformation. It is that important.
Lastly, no one can merely leave the Roman Catholic “Church,” and join the Protestant Church, or Universal Catholic Church. You must be predestined and effectually called by Almighty God. In other words, you must be ‘the elect.’ To know more about salvation, read the Good News below.
