Dr John W. Rawlings gave this message at a Men’s Prayer Breakfast at ‘Friendship Baptist Church’ of Cincinnati, Ohio

On April 18, 2009, Dr John W. Rawlings gave this message at a Men’s Prayer Breakfast at ‘Friendship Baptist Church’ of Cincinnati, Ohio. Rawlings then was 95 years of age. He passed away two weeks ago (January 30, 2013 ) at the age of 99.

I loved how he said he didn’t allow the world to affect him. He said, “In that environment, it did not dictate to me. I dictated to the environment.” We’re losing the solid men that didn’t change their sermons and doctrines to conform to the political or cultural climate (Romans 12:1-2.)

His illustration of how his daddy protected their sheep with a shotgun, is how a ‘healthy’ church will protect their sheep today. Rebuke, and expose the wolves. Then kick them out.
