Many in the “Bible Belt” hate God, as expected, but here’s some encouragement to His faithful remnant

Yesterday was an interesting day sharing the Gospel, which included two different Walmarts. If it happened to a new believer, they would probably be discouraged from evangelizing an open-air market environment again (Acts 17). Nonetheless, here is why Biblical evangelism comes with much pushback. Coupled with some encouraging words to Christians.

Here is why, as I once was. The unregenerate are enemies of the Lord (Rom 5:10), children of wrath (Eph 2:3), dead in their transgressions (Eph 2:5), sons of perdition (John 17:12), who suppress the truth in their unrighteousness (Rom 1:16), the Gospel is foolishness to they who are perishing (1 Cor. 1:18), who cannot understand the things of the Lord (1 Cor 2:14). Therefore, the wrath of God abides on them (John 3:36). And every time they sin, they are storing up more wrath for the Day of Judgment (Rom 2:5).

Nonetheless, rejoice in the work of the Lord. If the Lord wills, He will awaken them. Be thankful for the Lord’s remnant out there. Keep your eyes fixed upon Him, keep your hands on the plow, and don’t look back.

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Cor 15:57-58).
