Short video ‘Jesus did not come for Social change,’ by John MacArthur
Though Christians should be engaged in our culture, as we love our neighbor, but not without being ‘salt and light.’ Apparently many don’t understand what being ‘salt and light’ truly is (according to the Scriptures). Furthermore, Christians are commanded to go out and preach (or share) the glorious Gospel, that is the paramount remedy. Having said that, MacArthur hammers down the nail on how so many Christians are so worried (or concerned) about the ‘social issues’ of this world. It seems that most Americans have become socialists, and many Christians are following their lead. Even police departments today are offering social programs, as police officers are expected to play the role of social workers.
If I were an artist, I’d paint a portrait of Republicans and Democrats dressed as red and blue sheep, being led over a cliff, as they follow their favorite President(s) over the cliff. That is one of the many reasons why I left the GOP in 2008, and became an Independent. I could no longer be ‘unequally yoked’ to a corrupt and compromised worldly system. I am not asking others to do that, but I had to follow my own convictions and Christian conscience. I pray that by God’s grace, He continues to sanctify me, as well as others.
As always brethren –Love ‘biblically’ – repent – be salt and light – be holy – be sanctified – fear God – pray without ceasing – keep His commandments – put on the whole armor of God (and use it) – walk circumspectly – believe in and trust Jesus – obey the Gospel – share the Gospel – preach the Gospel – contend for the faith, – disciple each other, hate the things that God hates, and love the things that God loves – keep the faith, work-out your salvation, and endure to the end!
