The attempt assassination of President Donald Trump, and How God Decreed…

After the attempted assassination of our 45th President, Donald Trump, I see lots of conspiracy theorists posting their conspiracies.   

But as a confessional believer, one who is confessional in orthodoxy and orthopraxy, I say this. And all according to the Scriptures, and, as summarized in the 1689 Confession.

Though our Lord is not the author of sin, nor is there violence in the first cause of His decrees. He sovereignly preordains, orchestrates, and decrees all events to occur, including the attempted assassination of Trump. And when He uses a second cause, like a shooter, to accomplish His will. He also decrees every bullet and the trajectory of each bullet. And He does this for His own glory and the good pleasure of His will.

Benjamin Keech said in his catechism, “God executes His decrees in the works of creation and providence.”

Two months ago, I made the below presentation on the doctrine of God’s Decree. It is very providential and applicable to yesterday’s events. Lord willing, this may help you understand God’s decrees. Only by faith can one understand this doctrine.
