The riots by the Black Lives Matter – Antifa movement, and the pragmatism of some police officers and evangelists (pushing back)

I erred by watching too much news over these last two days, and that wasn’t good for my spiritual health, nor my blood pressure. Hence in this blog post, I will share just a few of my thoughts on this subject.

First, the police administrators and their officers are utilizing a pragmatic policing rather than old-school policing. Second, the fact that many professing Christians – better known as Social Justice Gospel warriors are wrongfully calling George Floyd (a worldly man), a “good man” and a “Godly man.” Third, I need to repent from being currently consumed by the secular affairs of this world. And fourth, the solution to this sin problem is the unadulterated Gospel.

Pragmatic policing

Police commanders and officers across the nation are cowardly apologizing to our communities. Many of them are bowing down before the Black Lives Matter and Antifa “protesters,” while taking a knee begging them to reason with them. Or as seen here, some like Webster, MA police chief Michael Shaw are cowardly totally “surrendering” to them.

And so as I stated on Facebook.

I am so thankful for the small percentage of police officers that are utilizing a maximum amount of force that is necessary to detour or stop these violent acts committed by protesters and rioters. But at the same time, I am appalled at the large percentage of peace officers that are tolerating and acquiescing to protesters in their destruction of property and deadly violence, even to the point of literally bowing their knee to join protesters in solidarity. But as a Christian, I must share the Gospel with the world, as the solution to this sin problem can be found in my Gospel tract below. Please read and respond in repentance and faith. As this man only bows his knee to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yesterday these protesters took to the streets of Yucaipa, which is next to my city. They did so to target “white people.” But they were not met with pacifist policing or scared citizens. Armed citizens standing on top of their homes and businesses ran those racist domestic terrorists off.

Good police officers will meet force with a superior amount of force, they will not coddle criminals. Moreover, citizens need to arm themselves because they are the true first responders.

Social Justice Gospel warriors

Many professing Christians, including some of the most notable Bible scholars are erroneously referring to George Floyd as a hero or a martyr, calling him a “good man,” a “Godly man,” or that “he’s in heaven now” etcetera. Nonetheless, according to the Minneapolis police union Floyd has a “violent criminal history,” and further research reveals his current reputation is sinister. But hey if it bleeds it leads. I’ve seen many professing Christians liken Floyd to Martin Luther King Jr, as they share quotes from MLK. Fact check. King was a heretic and a serial adulterer at the time of his assassination.

Hence another Facebook post.

Today many Social Justice Gospel warriors are calling a lying, thieving, sexually immoral criminal a “Godly man.” But the Bible says the thieves, liars and sexually immoral will not inherit heaven (1 Cor. 6:9-10), and they will perish in hell (Rev. 21:8). That the unregenerate are enemies of the Lord (Rom 5:10), children of wrath (Eph 2:3), dead in their transgressions (Eph 2:5), sons of perdition (John 17:12). And every time they sin they are storing up more wrath for the Day of Judgment (Rom 2:5); and the wrath of God abides on them (John 3:36).

“Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother: (1 John 3:4-10).”

On the internet, I saw an “evangelist” apologizing to the protesters for what happened to George Floyd. He made this long speech, and then shared a little bit of the Gospel. He even told them that “He [Floyd] didn’t deserve to die.” Folks, because of the sins I’ve committed against Almighty God, I deserve to die in the worse unimaginable way, as well as an eternal damnation. And one day because of my sins, God will require my death and my soul. But thankfully by His grace, He has saved a wretch like me. More on that later.

I need to repent.

I need to repent from being too consumed with the secular affairs of this worldly system. As I stated in another Facebook post.

The world is falling apart. That is expected as the Scriptures told us that it must, and I rejoice in Him. But so many professing Christians are allowing themselves to become emotionalized and sensationalized over these worldly affairs. Please read (study) all of 2 Corinthians 6, but for starts, begin with verses 11-18.

“O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open. You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections. Now in return for the same (I speak as to children), you also be open. Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

“I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

“Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Lastly, my fourth point.

The Gospel

Christ and His glorious Gospel is the solution to our sin problem. Not a Gospel message filled with pragmatism, tricks, gimmicks, trivia questions, and word games, but the unadulterated Gospel. And so I ask you to read my Gospel tract below. Then respond to Christ in repentance and faith. Repent towards God, and trust in Christ alone for salvation.
