Video ‘A Christian math teacher suspended for ‘misgendering’ a pupil’

Not knowing that his new student (a female) had self-identified herself as a boy, math teacher Joshua Sutcliffe rightfully referred to his new student as a “girl.” Consequently he has been suspended pending further investigation, and possible termination.

This charge is obviously malevolent. But I took notice of something in particular that this Christian school teacher said. He said that he fostered an environment that would “encourage them in the classroom environment. To make them feel welcome, to make them feel this is somewhere that they can learn.”

Rightfully so, that is what every good school teacher should do for his or her students in a secular school environment, as no one in a secular school should be discriminated against, including the Christian school teacher.

However what is happening here in America, is that more and more ‘churches’ are behaving like a secular school. They are conforming to the world. They are unbiblically fostering an environment of acceptance and tolerance in their own ecclesiastical settings. Many pastors have unbiblically compromised by tolerating and normalizing sexual immorality (straight or gay). Whereas adulterers, fornicators, homosexuals and/or anyone from the LGBTQ community can feel comfortable and accepted just as they are.

Yes Christians must rejoice in these sufferings, but we must not flinch in the face of adversity while doing so.

In Matthew 24 the Lord Jesus warned of the signs of the end times. But He also warned in verses 13-14 “But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

#1 those that “endure to the end” are no doubt the Lord’s remnant.

#2 the Lord’s faithful ones will preach (or share) the Gospel in the meantime.

#3 and then the end will come.

Please say a pray for this teacher, that he is one that will endure to the end, and pray for the Lord’s universal bride of Christ.

In the meantime, as always, remember that Christians must love ‘biblically’ – repent – be salt and light – be holy – be sanctified – fear God – pray without ceasing – keep His commandments – put on the whole armor of God (and use it) – walk circumspectly – believe in and trust Jesus – obey the Gospel – share the Gospel – preach the Gospel – contend for the faith, – hate the things that God hates, and love the things that God loves – keep the faith, work-out your salvation, and endure to the end!
