What a great day the Lord has made in downtown Palm Springs today

Today I spent the day evangelizing in the city of Palm Springs. The sky was blue, and the temperature was 86 degrees (that’s cool for Palm Springs). As I stood on a street corner, I used each large stack of Gospel tracts as if they were my hour glass. Every time a stack ran out, it was time to move to a different corner.

Since it is close to Thanksgiving, I concentrated on the theme of ‘giving thanks to a wonderful Mighty God.’ The name of Jesus as the Christ was lifted up.

Psalm 100 is one of many great passages to preach from at such a time as this. However, they must understand how they can become “His people” in the new covenant.  The way to salvation is much narrower in this dispensation. I also engaged in many ‘one on ones.’

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”

Due to time constraints, no video for this outreach.
